Good Vibes: Applying Tesla's Observations about Energy to Our own Lives

We are individuals, and we are also a part of humanity as a whole. Based on this fact, I have an assertion: while we may toil away for our personal good, we are also affecting other people. When we do good work, as well as when we do something rotten, the act does not stop with us. The energy we give off does not stop at the edge of our skin. Rather as we move and think and BE, we send out energy waves that continue on to other people and travel on and on. Grandma Gallagher used to say.,” Smile, and soon, there will be miles and miles of smiles.” I refer to this pleasant, high frequency vibration energy as Good Vibes.

We give off a personal energy that others can feel, and react to; our energy can actually impact and change another person’s energy! This is because energy travels in waves that are measured by the frequency of their vibrations! Every object, including living things, is just a bundle of atoms that hum together at the same vibration. In order to be a thing, whether it be a chair, rock, tree, plant, animal, or person, all atoms must stick together and vibrate at a certain frequency in order to create the thing that they are!

Because the frequency at which we vibrate can affect others, it will do us good to understand our current vibration level. We do not have to go to a science lab to discover this. We simply need to be mindful about how our presence affects others. We will literally get a good or bad vibration in return. Have you heard of good vibes? They are real!

What inputs affect our internal energy frequency-our vibes?

What we consume: food, drink, substances, experiences and information all affect the frequency of our  personal vibration. Why is that important? Well, Scientist, Nikola Tesla famously said, “If you want to find the secrets of the universe, think in terms of energy, frequency and vibration.” So, if we want to understand ourselves, we need to pay attention to our own energy, frequency and vibrations!

So how do we know if our vibration is off… sluggishness, sleepiness, lack of enthusiasm, depression and malaise all indicate we may be low in our personal vibration. Stress, anxiety, fear, anger and lack of boundaries can also signal that a person is operating at a low vibration, which causes us to overcompensate by putting forth great effort towards self-protection. Sometimes we refer to a person as intense, or overstimulated, but in truth, their energy field is likely low and out of balance.

Energy imbalances can be treated by changing or cleaning up our immediate environment, being mindful of what we consume, moving our body, and calming our mind.

To quickly reset your energy field, take yourself outside into nature. Nature has a balanced energy field. That is why people relax when their feet touch the earth, walk in a forest, sit by a waterfall or swim in a fresh stream. Energy flows from the environment and through us, so being in nature can help us reset our vibration. If you can’t be in nature, at least go outdoors. The sunlight and open space offer us a way to let off our energy and take in new energy from the sun, trees and fresh air.

Physically, we can declutter our space to allow better energy flow around us. Heaps of laundry, things, too much stuff,  slows the flow of good energy both around us and within us. Like a stream clogged with trash or debris, our home  or office can become clogged too. This in turn affects our energy- remember energy is always moving and flowing. So start with cleaning up yourself and your main living spaces such as your bedroom and your work space.

Invest in a Himalayan salt lamp.  These lamps remove positively charged ions, known as electronic smog,  which is released from computers, televisions, and smartphones. Negative ions released from the salt lamp can help clean up  the air around you. In short, these lamps help neutralize artificial energy frequencies that disrupt our personal energy vibration.

Experience a sound bath. Music from instruments tuned to resonate at specific frequencies are called sound baths. For example, recordings of the vibration 369 Hz, measured in hertz, known as the Solfeggio frequency, is documented to have healing properties for the mind and body, including the ability to heal at a cellular level. It is called inspirational music because the higher vibrations in the 369 HZ sound waves lower the fear, anxiety, guilt and stress feelings that occur when our low vibration causes us to stay hypervigilant and overcompensate for self-protection. Nikola Tesla touted his favorite frequency 432Hz, which lowers heart rate and blood pressure for the listener, as a key to spiritual and physical health.

Eat real, whole, raw, living foods. What we eat also affects our good vibes on a cellular level; we really are what we eat. Eating living foods full of energy, like fresh vegetables, fruits, raw nuts, seeds, and legumes improves our energy. These are healthy foods nutritionally, and their energy content is a bonus.

Drink filtered water, and plenty of it. Water is a conductor of electricity; it carries energy. Our body functions by electric impulse, so a lack of water in our body will cause all body systems to malfunction or operate at a subpar level. If you want to shut down the personal power plant, our body, then take away our water. To vibrate correctly, we need all cells in our body to be good conductors of energy.

Exercise raises our vibration. Exercise releases pent up emotion, stress and, and resets our energy levels. and moves our blood to turn on digestion, respiration, and excretion. For a person with low mood and low energy, gently moving the body produces chemical reactions in the body that signal wellbeing and raise our  mood. (Additionally, movement is also the main way to circulate our lymph fluids which clean every cell of our body through the immune system.)

People of many religious and spiritual practices throughout the world and over time, have one thing in common; that is, they learn to raise their inner vibrations by calming their mind and tapping into the universal energy, rather than their own human individual vibe. We can practice this too. Meditation, which simply requires devoting time to quiet the mind, be still and focus on our own breaths, is renowned for its benefits on body, mind and spirit. The highest level of achievement for spiritual awakening is a detachment from the world and an alignment with the divine. Meditation, prayer, and mindful breathing are examples of ways we can raise our own vibration and release fear that keeps us stressed, tired, and overcompensating for self- protection.

Good vibes describe our state of being when we are grounded, calm, upbeat and in the moment. We are aware, clear-minded and able to act rather than react. We are undisturbed by others because we are calm within. While people may think this is a low vibration state, it is quite the opposite. A higher vibration of energy produces a calm and focused effect on our bodies and minds. Although Good Vibes is sometimes passed off as an alternative, “hippy” concept, the effects of Good Vibrations on our bodies and minds is undeniable. Those who vibe are healthier, happier, and better prepared to deal with challenges. It is a state of being that we can all strive for. I hope that my words resonate at a high level for you, and get you where you want to be in your healthy lifestyle path!
